2006 HRF-APVA Members Meeting at Popkin Tavern
Launching a New Era in Preservation!

Historic Richmond Foundation hosted its annual meeting for HRF-APVA members on October 26, 2006 at the newly opened Popkin Tavern, located at 123 W. Broad Street. Steve Soble, son of Popkin Furniture owner Jerry Soble, has transformed his father's old store into a restaurant, bar and lounge that retains the character and charm of a neighborhood landmark.

Members in attendance heard remarks from HRF President John Owen Gwathmey, HRF Executive Director Conover Hunt, and APVA Preservation Virginia Executive Director Elizabeth Kostelny. Topics covered included accomplishments of the previous year, as well as goals and expectations for the future. To find out more about how to become a member of HRF-APVA, click here.

Many thanks to Steve Soble and the staff of Popkin Tavern for creating the perfect atmosphere for this event. A great time was had by all!
