Council of HRF

Founded in the late 1950s, the Council of HRF is a volunteer organization that provides valuable support for HRF’s educational and fundraising initiatives. The Council develops programs that teach their members and Richmonders to be ambassadors of preservation issues that affect HRF and the city. The Council also conducts special tours of historic Richmond, such as the annual Garden Week tour that highlights historic areas and/or homes. The Council also plays a major role in HRF’s special fundraising events, which in the past have included the Strawberry Hill races, the Morengo Races, Old City Hall Ball and the Canal Gala.
